This black powder flask in the stars pattern was made by James Dixon and Sons of Sheffield, England. James Dixon first began business in 1806 with flasks first produced around 1829 and made until 1903. It is #431 in Riling’s book. It has the screw off patent top but the interior spring is broken and it has some small dents. It measures 8″ by 3 1/4″ by 1 1/2″ and weighs 7.3 ozs.
