Civil War era travelling ink well, 81048

The inkwell is made of rosewood and was in use during the Civil War period.

This ink well is rosewood. The top screws on and inside is a small glass reservoir for the ink. When the top is screwed closed a spring forces the glass into the top to seal the ink inside. There is a chip on the rosewood base. The total lenght is 2″ and the diameter is 1″ and weighs 1.3 oz.  For more pictures or any questions call or email.
