This scarificator is unusual in that it has 16 blades, instead of 8 or 12. It is in working order. It is silver plated and has it’s original case. Scarificators like this were made in both the US and Britain (an 8 sided box) and were used for bloodletting. The case measures2 3/4″ tall by 2 3/8″ by 2 1/4″ and both weigh 10.2 ozs.
